J.M.W. Turner will still be at the the Musée Jacquemart-André through April, with more than 50 watercolours and a dozen oil paintings on display until 20 July. A must for lovers of Romantic art and landscape painting.
Many Ray at the Musée du Luxembourg

The Centquatre, a great exhibition space and events venue in the 19th arrondissement will hold the 8th outing of Circulation(s), with a whole host of features including exhibitions, discussions, screenings and a weekend photo studio where you can have your portrait taken by a professional! The festival is dedicated to young and upcoming photographers.
Paris Marathon - 5th April
Cheer along the runners of the Schneider Electric Paris Marathon on 5th April, the 44th Paris Marathon! One of the largest marathons in the world, almost 55,000 runners take part each year on a route that incorporates the Bois de Boulogne, the Champs Elysées, and the Bois de Vincennes - with some amazing landmarks along the way! Runners of all levels will find common ground at the Salon du Running, the trade show also known as Run Experience, to be held from 11 to 13 April 2020 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.
La Samaritaine opens its doors once again!
This colossal project has been in the pipeline for a long time now, so it is very exciting to hear that La Samaritaine - which first opened in 1870 - will be opening in Spring, just in time for the 150th anniversary of the original department store! This new incarnation will be much more than just a department store though, offering not just shopping (with over 600 brands) but a hotel, a spa, and a 5th floor devoted entirely to food. Not to mention the stunning Art Deco architecture.

If you're celebrating the Easter weekend in Paris, this list of open museums and monuments might help your planning. Or how about an Easter Egg hunt? Head to the lovely Parc des Buttes Chaumont on Wednesday 17th April for an enormous hunt for chocolate eggs by one of the oldest chocolate shops in Paris, A la Mere de la Famille, from 3.30pm. There'll be lots of activities, games and surprises for the whole family to enjoy!
European Craft Days, 3-13 April
Discover the artisans and craftsmen of the city during European Craft Days, when 200 studios and ateliers open their doors to the public. It's recommended that you register for your chosen activity in advance, as many workshops are small and limit the number of participants, but you will have the opportunity to visit some incredible craftspeople in Paris - including at the Louvre or Opera Garnier!
